This program is rooted in three modalities - Somatics, Polyvagal Theory, and Embodiment. All of them are focused on results you feel, not just understand.
My somatic background is through The Embody Lab, where I studied under Dr. Scott Lyons, developer of Somatic Stress Release - a practice focused on restoring biological resilience and helping the body complete its natural stress response.
Underpinning all of it is Polyvagal Theory - the science of how your nervous system responds to safety and threat.
And Embodiment - where we bring in different modalities to try them on and see what fits. These practices can open us up to things we had never imagined.

Somatic work is a body-based approach to healing and growth. The word "somatic" comes from the Greek word for body. Rather than working only with your thoughts and beliefs - like traditional talk therapy - somatic work includes the body in the process. It recognizes that our experiences, stress, and patterns are held not just in our minds but in our nervous systems and physical bodies. In practice this means learning to notice body sensations, breathing patterns, tension, and physical responses - and using that awareness to create real, lasting change.
